WEDDING PARTY

BEST MEN:

Doug White
(5' 9" 170)  PENN STATE, Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Flyers, NY Knicks and not such a big baseball fan.  Doug and Djavad met at the Union Hotel in Flemington New Jersey where they bartended together, survived numerous adventures and forged their friendship over Madden football, Pearl Jam, and many Seinfeld like personal stories.  Doug has moved on to the publishing business where he can share his passion for reading, history and comic books.  Doug is married to Michele (whom he alsomet at the Hotel) and they have two beautiful kids, Henry and Kylie.

Brian Rodenbeck  (5' 11" 210)  Miami Hurricanes, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, and NY Yankees.  Brian and Djavad have an equaly competetive nature that has played out in everything from raquetball to beerpong.  In particular their compettive nature has been played out on golf courses around the country.  Carnival, Scuba diving, Park City and almost buying a restaurant are some of the adventures they have enjoyed.  Brian and Djavad also met at the Union Hotel and Brian became the head chef there later moving on as head chef and then food and beverage director at Copper Hill Country Club in Flemington.

Frank Barlow  (5' 11" 175) Frank and Djavad first crossed paths in high school though they didn't know eachother then, they both ran cross country.   Frank met Djavad at the Union Hotel (becoming a repetetive theme) and have been friends since.  Amongst other things they have jumped from a plane (No, I wasn't flying it), camped in Maine, gone to Mardi Gras (before the flood) and enjoyed more than a few skiing/snowboarding excursions.  Frank has been know to translate Spanish/English for Djavad with people that mistake Djavad as Spanish speaking, offer his religious expertice, and has made enough "road tunes" compliations to road trip the country many times over.  Frank is active in the community and runs all the YMCA's in the Hunterdon County area.

Tom Kelly  (6' 1"  195)  Washington Redskins, J.R.R. Tolkien, RUSH, Queensryche.   Tom and Djavad met in college, worked together at the movie theatre and were roommates at the "compound".  Tom went on to work with Djavad at the Union Hotel and Djavad was the beneficiary of Tom's musical influence as well as his fight officiating.  Near death, and with "the man" on their heels, on more than a couple of occasions, they survived intact.

Melaquisha Mostofizadeh-Orbin (  ) ...Obviously not a man, Melaquisha is Djavad's little sister and will be acting as the "groomsmaid". She currently lives in Bristol, PA with her husband, Beau, and their 4 kids.

BEST WOMEN:

Brooke Longaker Covey Logan, eldest sister of the bride. Brooke and Kate will be serving as "Co-Matrons of Honor". She is Rachel's second mom and one of her very best friends. The Covey girls have a special (and if it weren't for cell phones, expensive) bond. All the Covey kids were born within 6 years of eachother and, therefore, are incredibly close. Brooke lives in Weymouth and Harwichport, MA with her husband, Brian and their 1 year old (2, by the wedding). Brooke works in downtown Boston in a big building and Rachel has no idea what she does...except she maybe designs databases. Brooke loves to travel and take pictures. She is very active and loves to do triathalons, kayak, bike, and various other outdoor activities.

Kate Anne Covey Jones, sister of the bride. Kate and Rachel speak on the phone anywhere between 1 and 15 times a day. They hope to, one day, open a business of some kind (yoga...personal training...boutique...smoothies...who knows?)together. Best friends and confidants, the Coveys are lucky to have one another.  Kate lives in Sandwich, MA with her husband, Adam, and their 3 kids. She is a triathlete and loves to run and bike the Cape Cod Canal with her kids. Kate works from home for State Street.

Zanna Ceciley Carroll (Campbell) Blaney, friend of the bride...since diapers. There is a big lie around town that Zanna was in the room when Rachel was born (15 days after Zanna). Either way, friends since birth. The best way to describe Zanna is: social butterfly. Rachel and Zanna have remained friends throughout their lives, despite massive amounts of time and distance. She has a Boston Terrier, Thule, that was inspired by Bean. The Campbells and The Coveys were basically raised together; their moms are buddies, Zanna's sister Colby is Kate's best friend, and Zanna's brother is Brooke's age. Zanna lives in southern NH with her husband Nic and their new baby Cavot who was born 9/9/9. She is a high school guidance counselor. (Zanna's brother's sister in law will be the wedding photographer!)

Suzanne Pope (Shaw) Jaynes (as of 10/10/9), friend of the bride...since 3rd or 4th grade, inseperable as teenagers (also born within 2 weeks eachother). Sue is bluntly hilarious and has always been a close friend of Rachel's. All the trouble Rachel ever got into was with Sue...well, most of it anyway. Sue also spent a lot of time at Rachel's house growing up. Much like Zanna, they stayed friends even when they were seperated by the entire country and the Atlantic Ocean (Sue went to vet school in Ireland). She is a newlywed as of October 2009 and has a big ole great dane named Curraugh. She is an equine veterinarian and lives in Rhode Island with her husband, Chris.

Meridy Marie Twilling, friend of the bride...since 1998 (when Rachel started at the Cactus Moon). Meridy is Rachel's Tucson craft buddy as she has a wonderfully creative spirit. She is a mad-scrapbooker (an entire room of their house is dedicated to it). Because of this, Meridy will likely be used frequently in the wedding decoration and planning. Meridy is a sweatheart and a tremendous friend. Although she is trained to be an interior designer, her job right now is a stay-at-home-mom. She has 2 gorgeous kids with her husband, Shawn, and they live in Rita Ranch in Tucson.

Morgan William Covey, obviously not a woman he is the bride's brother. We will call him the Bridesman or the Ironmaiden. He is a welder and he and his dog, Samson, have spent many months living with  Rachel and Djavad in Tucson. He is currently in New Hampshire as his work has led him all over the country.
